Our first family interstate crime spree, errrrrr....... road trip is now complete!

On July 7th, the Proski Clan departed from Portland and headed south to the legendary Shubert Ranch (aka Laurel Springs Ranch) for some much needed R and R. We loaded the kid and copious amounts of toys and junk into Big Blue ( our new van) and headed out.
We arrived in Healdsburg on the afternoon of the 8th after a scenic tour through Redding California (anyone who has ever been in Redding knows that this is a joke) , and Calistoga , a beautiful community in the mountains.

We then spent five days enjoying our time in wine country. We had a couple of day trips with Claire and her boyfriend John to do some wine tasting and then a day trip to lovely Sausalito. ( I guess it was only fair to take them out to lunch , since we were the ones who were living in their space :) Thanks again for that C and J !!!

We had a wonderful time overall , topped by the relatively painless 13 hour drive to get home,during which Xander was a super trooper. This kid is a fantastic traveller !
